Hari ni ahkak nak bagi tips sikit macamana nak pilih designer or even tailor yang akan jahit baju korang. Iye lah kan dalam banyak-banyak benda dalam wedding of course baju lah yang PALING PENTING. Korang mesti dah berangan kan nak pakai dress ala-ala Cinderella, paling kurang macam Kate Middleton or tak pun baju Rozita Che Wan(glamer gila baju dia..ahkak tak berkenan sangat tapi the detailing untuk baju-baju dia memang so fineeeee) Yang ahkak tengok baju-baju nikah/reception dress kat Malaysia nih masih lagi suka menggunakan fabric chiffon as it gives the demure and flowy effect. Of course la time kita kahwin kita nak kita paling cantikkan?hehehe.
Ahkak personally suka sangat Elie Saab. Suka sangat-sangat. Sebab baju-baju dia simple but yet very intriguing especially on the detailing. Simple yet sophisticated and elegant. One thing about Elie Saab yang ahkak suka, dia punya wedding dress tak banyak yang strapless, dia banyak jugak yang ada short sleeve and long sleeve, so bila kita tengok, kita pun rasa maybe kita boleh amik sikit idea dia. Sebab kebanykan Western designers memang banyak like almost 100% strapless. So, susah kita nak ambil inspirasi dari situ.

Dah abis tengok baju-baju tu, so here the tips :
1) Korang kena cari design mana yang korang berkenan. Tak kisahlah from local or foreign designer. Yang penting kena betul-betul cari yang berkenan di hati. Tapi berkenan tak bermaksud sesuai dengan kita. Since kebanyakan bride-to-be ni datang dengan pelbagai saiz, cari design yang boleh menutup kelemahan badan(unless you are comfortable with your body) dan design yang can compliment your body. This is important.
2) Once dah dapat design yang nak tuh, survey kat Google, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, kawan-kawan, adik beradik, sedara mara designer/tailor yang boleh jahit baju kahwin. One thing you have to know tailor and designer is different. Tailor kebanyakannya boleh menjahit sahaja so kalau korang datang dengan design-design yang complicated, maybe diorang tak boleh buat. They may say that they can sew, but most probably the outcome will not be as what you expected. Kalau designer, they will sketch design according to your body type and what kind of material they will use(chhiffon and lace for example). But of course, it will be pricey. So, if your selected design is very-very simple like baju kurung, then you can sent to tailor, if not better hantar kat designer. Kalau nak sewa, then tak yah pening-pening. Kalau sewa-beli, meaning the designer or boutique will design a new design and you will pay the dress like you buy it, but after the ceremony you will have to return it back to the boutique.
3) Tak kisahla baju yang korang pilih simple or complicated design, you have to convey it to the tailor/designer that you want your dress to be like that. The outcome of your dress is depending on how good your designer/tailor. As for ahkak punya experience, my nikah outfit exceed my expectation and as for my reception dress, the outcome is less than expectation. 4) Sebelum make any agreement with tailor/designer ask them about the price. This is the most important part as you must have your own budget kan? Some designer can work with your budget, some can't. So, kalau agak-agak designer tu caj mahal sangat and tak boleh work with your budget, sila lah blah dari butik dia or kedai dia.hehehe. And be ready with any additional charge. Tapi kebiasaannya they(designer/tailor)will stick to your budget. Jangan malu-malu with your budget. Bukan nak menghina sesiapa, tapi kalau bajet RM500 untuk all in maksudnya termasuk design, workmanship, kain dan detailing and korang pergi Hatta Dolmat, rasanya dia suh tambah lagi RM2,000. Hhehe. So cari designer/tailor yang bersesuaian dengan bajet korang keh. Korang memang kena rajin survey. Jangan malas!
5) After dah decide on design, color and price, so designer/tailor akan start their work. Walaupun maybe kita tempah dengan tailor/designer yang dah biasa dengan kita, kita still have to remind them on our outfit sebab korang have to remember that you are not the only customer that they have, so try to get update as much as possible. Kita akan tahu designer tu buat kerja when we asked them bout the progress they can answer all questions and within 3 weeks-1month they will ask us to come for first fitting. Jangan hantar lambat sangat at least 3 months before the ceremony. Why 3 months?Because you want more time so that kalau ada apa-apa, boleh betulkan. And never ever tell the tailor/designer your reall wedding date, kalau boleh awalkan date tu sebab banyak cerita yang designer/tailor buat very last minute. Haru oh kalau lambat. Sebab banyak lagi benda kita nak buatkan.
