REVIEW :MY REAL WEDDING DRESS(RECEPTION)

Assalamualaikum,

Nampak tak kelapangan kat situ?Satu hari 2 kali update blog. tehehe. Almaklum saja lah.Dah hujung tahun ni ramai orang cuti, kerja pun tak banyak.hihi.  

Ok sambung pasal baju reception.  Okeh, ahkak kenal this designer ni through my sister, katanya her ex classmate time kat UIA matrix dulu.  Ahkak betul-betul tak tahu mana nak cari designer untuk reception since kebanyakan yang famous-famous mahal nok mapuh.hehe. So, nasib ada kakak ahkak yang tolong adjustkan untuk ahkak.hihi, tapi ada drama untuk baju reception nih.jeng jeng jeng jengggggggg.

Okeh nama dia ni Amir Rafique. Jenis yang patah-patah.hihi. Ok la fine la.Ahkak tak kesah pun dia patah ke keras.  So, kitorg start la jumpa untuk sketch baju reception tu.  Dia quote starting RM 600 tak termasuk kain. Its very affordable but yeah the workmanship I still don't know.  But a bit desperate and trust(because he is my sister's friend) so ahkak go on je lah.  Mula-mula tu ok, dia bawak drawing and all memang cantik.  Ahkak cakap ahkak nak style2 Bollywood sikit since ahkak punya husband ehem ehem orang India. So, ahkak nak la mix the cultures kan? :).  Time dia bagi drawing tu rasa macam talented giler Kiki ni(people call him Kiki).

So, after dah finalize the design, we chose the color, since ahkak memang dah ada in my mind, make things easier. Ahkak nak color champagne+blood red.  Base color will be champagne and lace warna blood red.  And Kiki asked me, how much my budget to buy the material, ahkak cakap RM450 only, not more than that and he said 'ok, i think we can get that price' and ahkak macam excited gilos!hahaha.  Kiki asked me to go with him when buying the material so that we can get further discount as he knows the people in Jakel and also kita tak salah pilih color. Great!

So, ahkak dah janji ngan Kiki nak jumpa di Jakel KL kul 11 am, hari Ahad kalau tak silap untuk beli kain tu.  One thing about Kiki ni, kalau appointment mesti lambat tapi memandangkan ahkak ni orang yang bersabar ahkak ni senyapkan aje.  Lagipun si Kiki ni selalu mintak maaf kalau dia lambat so ahkak tak sampai hati pulak kalau tak maafkan.hahahah. Boleh gitu??haha

Tak lama sangat lah kat Jakel tu since datang dengan designer,so da ada orang attend.  We chose these beaded lace yang ahkak rasa memang cantik. Very heavy the details tapi ahkak suka since bukan lah  nak memenuhkan baju tu dengan all the details.  Untung pergi dengan designer, kalau kain yang tak de pun orang Jakel akan carikan.hihi

The material.  2 metres of lace, 6 metres of chiffon ,4 metres of lining and 3 metres of net.

As Kiki promised before, the bill cukup-cukup RM450. I'm a happy customer. :)  So, Kiki bawak balik kain tu and dia pun start jahit.Oh btw baju ni sekali ngan veil.

So, tiba lah masa untuk fitting.  And I was, like mmm ok, not bad lah, but I am not as ecstatic masa macam ahkak tengok baju nikah.  So, ahkak ok jer la.  And according to Kiki, ada banyak lagi dia kene buat and I trust him.  Sebab ada sikit beading yang dia kena buat. 

Then, the final fitting.  Ahkak gelabah jugak since Kiki cuma bagi ahkak the night before ahkak balik Kuantan for the wedding and it was like,3 days before?Crazy right.  Ahkak ingatkan dia dah siapkan awal since tak delah major alteration yang dia kena buat.  And he arrived late at my house, nak marah tak guna.  So, ahkak tunggu je lah.  So, bila ahkak tengok dress tu dia cuma potong jer and dia siapkan tudung halfmoon. Yang dia tambah beads tu sikit sangat-sangat. Ok malas nak besar-besarkan issue.

Ok now the payment. Since, ahkak fikir ahkak nak la bank in je tak nak bayar cash as ahkak tak suka pegang duit banyak-banyak, so after that ahkak cakap ahkak akan bank in kan.  Tapi husband ahkak yang transfer guna RHB online to his Maybank account.  Korang tau kan it will take 1 day kalau transfer before pukul 12 noon, and husband ahkak transfer the next day since dia busy sikit nak settlekan all his work before the wedding. Balance tu tak banyak pun around RM600 je.

Then, dalam kul 1 pagi macam tuh, yes 1 am, Kiki whatsapp ahkak cakap jangan lupa transfer dekat dia. Ahkak said ok, don't worry I'll definitely transfer and asked him to be patience a bit. So, the next day dia cakap still tak masuk lagi. So, ahkak mcam pelikla kenapa tak masuk lagi kan, Ahkak checked dengan husband and dia cakap dia da transfer siap bagi print screen lagi.  

Tapi si Kiki ni tak faham-faham jugak, bila ahkak cerita dengan dia.  Dia cakap mana ada orang beli barang kat supermarket tapi tak bayar". Kurang ajar tak??Ingat ahkak ni miskin sangat tak de duit nak bayar? Ahkak cakapla 'eh, bukan I x bayar, duit tu x masuk lagi, its a technical problem.U sabar la sikit". Ahkak try lagi berlembut dengan dia.Dia boleh cakap 'u bayar la dulu the 600, then kalau betul account tu masuk account I, I pulang balik. Mmmm..ahkak bila orang cakap macam tu ahkak lagilah tak nak bayar, kalau kau boleh buat perangai macam ni ada can kau tak pulang duit aku.  Rupa-rupanya husband ahkak salah letak some kind of ID infomation so dia bounce back dalam masa 3 hari baru dia masuk account husband balik.  Itu pun tahu 3 hari lepas tu. So, ahkak buat keputusan tunggu sampai duit masuk account balik.  Kalau dia boleh protect himself, ahkak pun boleh. 

Kita sedar lah diri, siapa kita tak nak bayar duit orang kan?Benda ni kecik je tapi die buat hal ni besar mcam hapa je.  Dia cakap 'I nak guna duit tu beli kain customer lain'. And I was like, what??takkan lah kau berniaga tapi tak de modal nak pusing.  Time beli kain dengan dia haritu ahkak siap bagi dia cash terus after beli, then dia yang cakap 'takpe,takpe you bank in kan aje'. Ahkak memang tak nak lah buat cam tu since ahkak da keluar cash. Ahkak bagi je la terus.  So, apa lagi issue nye.  Yang sebelum ni boleh transfer, yang last payment tak pulak cakap ngan ahkak nak cash, so ahkak assumed dia ok la kalau ahkak transfer.  Deposit pun ahkak transfer jugak. Tak de pulak bagi by hand.  Dia pulak terus-terusan whatsapp suh masukkan duit.

Last-last husband ahkak check kata duit da masuk balik, since ahkak tak da cash masa tu, ahkak pinjam duit mak RM600 terus g cash deposit machine maybank, bank in, ambik gambar slip, hantar kat dia.  Pastu dia cakap tq and sorry as if like nothing happend. Huh! Ahkak memang sampai sudah memang tak reply message dia.  Ahkak bukan apa, bagi ahkak tak professional la macam tu.  Dah la ahkak nak kahwin kan.  Seriously, nak pakai baju kahwin dia pun da tak excited.  And ahkak tengok workmanship dia not as expected.  Veil dengan tak trimnya,tak lurusnya, kecewa tapi tak delah besar mana masalah cuma bila dah jadi gituh not up to standard la kan.

Nasib ada kakak ipar yang best, ahkak dengan kakak ipar yang pergi petang tu cari tailor yang boleh trim tepi tu.  Alhamdulillah ada.  Thank you SIL!Love u lah!All and all except for this, everything went on smoothly. Alhamdulillah sangat-sangat.  Walaupun benda ni dah lama, tapi ahkak just nak share so that bride to be kat luar sana tak kisahlah nak ambik dengan designer mana, make sure kena jelas with all the terms and conditions k.  Maybe kena kat ahkak since dengan Oscar everything went smoothly so ahkak tak berapa cakna dengan Amir Rafique.  All in all apa yang Amir Rafique buat kena lah dengan price dia.  So, if you looking for quality, pergilah dengan designer yang dah establish or ada boutique, tp kalau still nak bajet-bajet, it's up to u k?  Btw ahkak dah maafkan pun Amir Rafique tu.

As you can see, its not that neat. But hmmm..redho ajerk.

WHAT I DID ON CHRISTMAS DAY

It was Christmas day yesterday, didn't do much  except, I went for my ex housemate's wedding in Pusat Komuniti Bukit Bandaraya, Bangsar.   Lovely wedding I must say.  I am quite shocked to see my friend in hijab as the last time I met her, she still didn't wear it.  I am so happy for her, feels really touched to see her married and at the same time wearing the hijab.  She looked so pretty in her baby blue wedding dress.

Well, the food and souvenir at the wedding were also very nice.  It's not the typical nasi minyak. They have beef cooked with black pepper which the beef is so tender and the black pepper sauce is just too nice. The roasted chicken and Dalca was superb.  And the most interesting, they didn't serve with the normal acar, but they have salad!Which I think it's really healthy option for the guess.  But the desert a bit at the downside, but still can eat laaa.. ;P

Oh and the cookies as the wedding gift, was really-really nice. (I can't remember who was the vendor)I ate the whole cookies just after I reached home.  Because it's nice leddat.haha(gelojoh uools tp sedap sangat cannot tahan lah)

Ok, as promised, I will give the recipe for beef grilled ribs with mashed potato served with boiled carrot and broccoli.  Its actually quite simple to cook, but it will take 2 hours to prep.

Ingredients A :
500 gm - 800 gm beef ribs
2 table spoon of mustad
1 table spoon of lemon juice
1 table spoon of honey(or less)
Salt and pepper to taste

Steps :
1) Boil the ribs until it becomes soft and tender(I  boiled it for almost 2 1/2 hours) but if you have pressure         cooker, 30 minutes is enough.  Don't forget to put salt in, as you can use the stock for other things also.
2) Mix all Ingredients(A) in a bowl then prep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes - 1 hour.

Ingredients B :
3 medium to big size american potato
100 gm of butter
Salt
100ml of fresh milk(depends on how you want your mash to be; creamy or not)

1) Peel the potato's skin
2) Boil the potato until soft
3) Mash the potato and mix with other Ingredients B(do it while it hot)

For the gravy/sauce, you can use the beef stock mix with the leftover of beef marination.  Put it on hot pan, if you want it to be thick you can use flour, probably around 1-2 table spoon.

As for the vege's, I used the beef stock to boil the brocolli and carrot.
